Hybrid Cloud: What the Future Holds?

Author:

It’s no surprise that cloud computing is a well-known technology that can help businesses grow and adapt to changing customer needs as they expand and adapt to new markets and technologies. A company’s ability to execute at its best is reliant on a wide range of factors, including its infrastructure, software, and platforms. The truth is that many organizations are still unsure about whether public or private cloud architecture is better for their needs.

The solution is, why not merge them both? Using a hybrid cloud is an option for companies that truly desire the best of both worlds. The notion of a hybrid cloud is a breakthrough that can address a number of cloud adoption challenges, including security and cost concerns. IBM Institute for Business Value research titled “The Hybrid Cloud Platform Advantage: A Guiding Star to Enterprise Transformation in Indonesia” reveals that hybrid cloud adoption is increasing in Indonesia due to the belief that it will encourage company transformation and open up new opportunities for them to increase their company’s value.

There is little doubt that hybrid cloud apps will have a bright future thanks to their widespread adoption in a variety of industries. The following article provides an in-depth explanation.

Hybrid Cloud: Massive Adoptions Since 2020

Hybrid cloud has been widely adopted since the year 2020. Hybrid cloud architecture has been used by more than 90% of enterprises in the previous two years, according to Gartner.

However, in the future, technology will play an even bigger role in the development of hybrid clouds. The deployment of new technologies and services, as well as business strategies for managing hybrid cloud environments, will be impacted by the integration of components such as automation, machine learning, and artificial intelligence into cloud platforms.

In addition, the hybrid cloud trend will see collaboration amongst vendors in the future. Even today, Microsoft’s Cloud Solution Provider program and AWS’s Partner Network are examples of this partnership.

What About Indonesia’s Investment Opportunities?

By looking at the enormous number of hybrid cloud adoptions, it’s not unthinkable that the investment potential is wide open. For the next three years, more and more Indonesian enterprises will be using hybrid cloud platforms, according to research from IBM’s Institute for Business Value.

About 16% of company IT spending is already allocated to the cloud, and businesses want to expand their hybrid cloud investment from the current 51% to 57% by 2023, according to survey results. To add to these disclosures, the survey also shows respondents agree that companies have gotten ROI by deploying hybrid cloud solutions. A single cloud solution’s value might be up to 2.5 times more than the hybrid cloud model’s, according to their claim.

Trends in Hybrid Cloud: More Insights

However, according to NetApp’s most recent analysis, the future of hybrid cloud will be focused around three key elements. A total of 79 businesses from across the world were interviewed for the report, including both those that have already implemented hybrid cloud architectures and those who plan to do so in the near future. Listed below are three noteworthy results from the following hybrid cloud survey.

Faster Innovation and Response

More than half of those surveyed claimed they were moving to a hybrid cloud environment to gain a better understanding of potential future prospects. These survey participants listed some of the benefits they hope to get from a hybrid cloud migration.

-The pace of innovation will increase (26 percent).

-As a result, the company is able to respond to more clients (25 percent).

-Enhanced collaboration (22 percent).

More Flexible

More than two-thirds of respondents cited the need to expand the infrastructure’s scalability and flexibility as one of the reasons for migrating to a hybrid cloud. They claim that the hybrid cloud architectural design allows IT teams to be more adaptable, giving use of public cloud technologies while still using on-premise legacy systems. In addition, 21% of those surveyed indicated they required a hybrid cloud to cut expenses, while 13% said they needed it to improve access to data.

Better for Data Protection

More than two-thirds of respondents (29 percent) said they deployed a hybrid cloud solution for disaster recovery, backup, and archiving within a 24-month period.

About two-thirds of those surveyed also claimed that hybrid cloud was being used to serve the same hybrid production workload, combining on-premise and cloud resources.
